7,9x7,9 in ~ Pittura, Acrilico, Inchiostro
I introduce you here a small format from early 2018 : "Tears will fly"
This painting is part of a collection of five linked together by several threads: the five elements of Chinese medicine, emotions and colour reminders.
This one represents the metal element , the emotion I wanted to celebrate, and I use the word even if it sounds provocative it's sadness.
In our society it is often quite difficult to accept this emotion and therefore feel authorized to express it.
Yet she has the right to exists and speaks.
If we give ourselves this freedom we can move on to something else, other emotions will find their way
It's not because we ignore it that it doesn't exist
I have taken here one of my favourite themes : motherhood
Ideally it is with people We love us most that We can feel empowered to express difficult emotions.
Children often do that but it's not always understood.
Motherly love is where we feel the more safe to do that : I love you whatever happens
I wanted him to inspire that sense of acceptance, security, love and understanding
It's a sort of going back to part of my roots, to what drew me closer to painting more than a decade ago
When I became a mother I found in me the strength to get back to it and I also got to know a whole panel of emotions that the children make us discover again because they are not ashamed to express them
It is a painting on canvas board that measures 20 cm by 20
We can hang it or put it near us and I like the idea that it can be physically close
I used solvent inks and acrylic as well as felt pens and black pen.
Certain lines are relieved by what is called cerne relief.
It is protected by a gloss varnish.
He does not fear the light and does not need a particular maintenance,
it can just be dusted preferably with a soft feather duster
Medium: inks, acrylics, marker pens and final gloss varnish on canvas board around 3mm deep (nice and hard support)
Ready to hang right out of package
Signed and dated on the back
Coa is provided
PLEASE NOTE : all computer screens vary in color hue, saturation, brightness and contrast, therefore your painting may slightly not look exactly like it does on your screen.
